IIM Ranchi Triumphs in Placement Season with Record Breaking 37 LPA CTC

The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi) has proudly concluded its placement season for the MBA classes of 2022-24, with the highest Cost to Company (CTC) recorded at a staggering 37.8 LPA. The institute's placement drive witnessed robust participation across its MBA, MBA-Human Resource (HR), and MBA-Business Analytics (BA) programs, overcoming a turbulent labor market landscape.

The flagship MBA program attracted a diverse group of 76 companies, culminating in an impressive average CTC of 18.69 LPA. The upper echelon of candidates, representing the top 25 percentile, secured an average CTC of 24.5 LPA, while the peak CTC reached 37.8 LPA, highlighting the high caliber of talent nurtured at the institute.

The specialized MBA-Human Resource Management program drew interest from 33 esteemed companies, achieving an average CTC of 18.36 LPA. Notably, the average and median CTCs for this batch saw an increase of 12.6% and 13.8%, respectively. The program also experienced a significant uptick in pre-placement offers (PPOs), with a 23.08% rise from the previous year, and the top CTC reached 33.9 LPA.

For the MBA-Business Analytics cohort, 28 companies participated, resulting in a remarkable 16.5% increase in average CTC, which stood at 19.12 LPA. The top 25 percentile of students witnessed a substantial rise of 36.8% in their average CTC, with the top 10 percentile seeing an even higher increase of 52.8%. The highest CTC for this program soared by 56.56% to 34.9 LPA.

In addition to the final placements, the summer internship drive also showcased IIM Ranchi's ability to provide top-tier internship opportunities. A total of 85 renowned companies offered placements to MBA students, with an average stipend of 1.25 Lacs per month. The MBA-Human Resource Management students were sought after by 29 leading companies, with an average stipend of 1.48 Lacs per month. The MBA-Business Analytics students were not far behind, securing an average stipend of 1.38 Lacs per month from internships provided by 38 companies.
